Wool is a wonderfull material and by reusing unwanted woollen sweaters I help reduce textile waste. I buy sweaters from charity shops and make them into something new – fingerless gloves and snoods that are both beautiful and practical. They add an eye catching detail to your outfit whilst also keeping you warm. I use the entire sweater except for the tiniest off-cuts that I donate for further upcycling.
Circular & sustainability focus
Wollen sweaters from charity shops or that have been donated to me are cut up and made into fingerless gloves. The off-cuts are then used to make snoods. The left over pieces are very small, and I sometimes use them as stuffing or for textile art projects (non-commercial), and whatever is left I donate for further upcycling to H&M. I am committed to reducing textile waste, and by using unwanted clothes, often with worn patches or holes, I keep them out of landfill and make them into beautiful and practical items that are wearable and keep people warm.
