Colour Analysis is a direct assault on the need to continually buy clothes that match ever changing trends. When you have a Personal Colour Analysis done, YOU are your own trend. Before I had my own colours done, I was constantly buying clothes then donating them. Nothing ever felt right, or I just looked flat. I also based my wardrobe on what other people were wearing around me – which changed constantly. The clothes I have post-colour analysis have been with me for years, because I’ve seen exactly how they enhance my natural features.
Personal Colour Analysis is not, and never will be, opinion based. It’s CoIour theory. I demonstrate how different colours interact with an individual’s natural undertone, and how qualities such as hue, value, saturation and temperature can affect overall harmony. A client is then given a palette of colours, or a ‘season’, to guide them when shopping or applying make up. By discovering the colours that genuinely make them glow, clients can shop with greater confidence, avoid impulse purchases and choose pieces they are more likely to love and wear for longer. My business upholds the idea of conscious consumption, encouraging a move away from fast-moving trends towards a more unique and individual relationship with clothing.
Circular & sustainability focus
The make-up I sell to coincide with a person's best colours is always from an organic mineral-based Make-up brand, with minimal and recyclable packaging, and absolutely no animal testing. It varies, but the current brand I am using at the moment is Odylique. I promote longevity over trends, helping clients develop a personal colour palette that isn't dictated by seasonal fashion cycles. There are NO disposable materials in my Personal Colour Analysis session. I am looking at making a move to offering a digital colour fan for clients rather than a printed one. The drapes I use to explore colour I have had for years, and are expensive. I have never bought cheap fabric replacements for my colour drapes, or any aspect of Colour Analysis (there's no such thing anyway!)
